In 1991 Julian and Ledz started a small Paintball company called Paintball Planet. As Paintballers, the goal of this company was to get

the greatest and latest paintball gear from around the world to Paintballers in the UK.

Over the last twenty years the company has evolved, grown, and changed its name to Planet Eclipse that now makes one of the finest

lines of Paintball Markers and accessories the World has ever seen.

The core goals of Planet from 1991 are still the very same goals we have in place today. We are constantly pushing ourselves and our

products to bring today’s players the very best that we can offer them. We still play and we still realise that playing Paintball in

whatever arena you choose, is all about having fun. Winning is fantastic and Planet Eclipse teams around the world bring back trophy

after trophy and series championships and we hope they have still have fun doing it.

Not everyone plays on one of our Pro teams, but everyone deserves the same level of performance, quality, reliability, customer

service and support. These simple core goals have been our mantra since 1991 and we will fight to uphold them into the distant

future.

To celebrate our 20th Anniversary we have taken our Flagship markers the Ego and Geo and created only twenty perfect pairs. Each

pair is presented in a hand crafted, mahogany finish wooden display case and comes with both the CSL EGO and the GEO 2.1 with

custom milling and custom graphic anodising. Both markers will have a complete barrel kit and carbon fibre tips (three backs

and two tips per marker) they also have matching numbers (as well as the normal serial numbers) from one to twenty giving them

that extra special unique quality.  Planet Eclipse will also create a special page on the web site listing the lucky owners of

these very rare, very special, perfect pairs.

So… the question is how much and how do you get your perfect pair?

Well, that isn’t going to be easy. Out of the twenty perfect pairs of 20th Anniversary Edition Collector’s Item markers there will ONLY

be a few sets sold to the general public.

There will be two or three sets that will go up for auction for collectors to bid on.

There will be two or three sets that will be donated to charities.

There will be two or three that will be sold via the Planet Eclipse web site.

One Set is reserved for a very special New Year’s competition.

The remaining pairs will end up in the hands of people that have worked with us and been by Planet Eclipse's side and in the

trenches since the very beginning. There is a huge list of people that we need to thank for all of the hard work that they do

tirelessly supporting Planet Eclipse but these 20th Anniversary Edition sets unfortunatley can’t get to everyone that deserves

one, so to everyone that works with and for Planet Eclipse, be it on the fields teching; in Planets offices and production

facilities; on the forums; in the local stores; the big distributors or the players on the field. We thank each and every one

of you. Without the people that have stood alongside Planet Eclipse believing in what we do we would not be here twenty years on.

THANK YOU

Angel Paintball officially closes its doors. PDF Print E-mail

Angel Paintball Sports, makers of the Angel line of paintball guns, Fatboy pods, Angel Air Systems, and most recently, the Angel Eye goggle system, are closing up shop. A note was sent out by Jay from APS this morning that confirmed the news. Angel Paintball Sports, or APS, was responsible for bringing electronic paintball guns to the center stage,  and the name is still synonymous for the top-of-the-line equipment.

The company has yet to give an official statement regarding the release of their Angel Eye goggle system and the pre-orders that might still be in limbo.

A Sad Day

I learned that Angel Sports is ceasing operations.  I don’t know all the details, not sure it really matters.  I have been assured by the UK office that parts will be available to service your markers.  The details of this arrangement should become clear in the near future, and should be announced by the UK office.  For the near future, both myself and Bob at Fix My Angel (www.fixmyangel.com) have parts in stock in the US for your markers.

Many of you have become friends, and I feel an obligation to you.  I’ll do what I can to help you and your team going forward.  I have some items in stock personally, and will be willing to honor your team discounts (or give you an even better deal) where I can on those items.  Anyone looking for accessories, or especially clothing, please contact me asap and we’ll see what we can work out.  I will be offering these items to my dealers as well, and once it is gone, I am not sure I can get more.  I also have some casual clothing and banners, and I would like to see those items end up with teams if possible.  Call or email me for details.

Many of you may know, I have an interest in a retail paintball store, PB Sports.  I am going to pass this email along to the guys there, and ask them that they look after you when possible.  If you have a good relationship with your local store or field, continue to shop there and nurture that relationship.  If you would like to start a relationship with PB Sports, you can reach them at www.pbsports.com, 260-471-4334, or  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  I can assure you that they will give you good service, and should be able to help you on pricing and/or work out a sponsorship deal with you and your team.  I know some of you have already done business with PB Sports, and hope that continues.

Because I feel an obligation to the teams and dealers I have worked with, I will continue to monitor and use the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it email.   I have been assured that it will work for some time.  If that turns out not to be the case, I have set up a personal email account,  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it that I will begin to monitor if the angelsports.com email fails or ceases to exist.  I will continue to maintain and monitor my mobile number, 260-438-9760 so that any of you that wish to reach me will be able to do so.

The 1,900-seated sold-out grandstands have been packed with enthusiastic fans from every corner of the nation and beyond. Hearing the crowd’s loud roar from across the venue ensures everyone is aware that a great move just took place on the Pro field. That doesn’t account for the many thousands of fans who sat at home watching the live webcast through pspevents.com and hosted by Matty Marshall. A roll call on Facebook.com listed nations tuning in from all across the globe… no matter what time of day (or night) it was for them! If you missed any of the action or would like to watch it again, just become a subscriber to the PSP YouTube account (www.youtube.com/pspevents). You will receive email updates each time a new video is added – and each game that was captured by the webcast this weekend will be added to the site over the next several days.

“Incredible Event!” with smiling faces is the most common reactions we are getting from the thousands of vendors, players, parents, fans and staff here at the 2011 PSP World Cup. The weather has been outstanding with clear, sunny skies and a gentle breeze locking us in with temperatures in the 70s all weekend long. Paint from G.I. NXe Paintball Purchased by Tippmann PDF Print E-mail
Written by Brad Hetland
Thursday, 20 January 2011 20:31

According to a press release from John Bosch, president of NXe, NXe’s paintball division has been sold to Tippman. Tippman has been in the market for a upper-end soft goods brand for some time now. Over the years NXe has invested in the development and design of high quality paintball products; most notably their harness systems, pads, pants, and bags.

The Bosch family came into the paintball industry with extensive manufacturing knowledge. For years they have developed protective and fashionable cell phone cases and accessories under license from the major cell phone providers. Earlier this season NXe announced the formation of a new cell phone accessories division. This division will not be part of the Tippman purchase. The Boschs will continue their work on the NXe cell phone line and will be launching new products at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Expo.

We anticipate that Tippman will continue to invest in the brand and continue to roll out premium paintball products under the NXe flag.

The following is the official release from NXe:

“NXE today announced it has sold its NXe Paintball division to
Tippmann Sports.

John Bosch President and CEO of NXE commented: “The sale of NXe
paintball to Tippmann Sports is both a happy day as well as a sad day for us. The paintball division was our baby and we have had great success within the industry. It was very important to us to that future of NXe will continue to be nurtured and built with the same passion and commitment we have here. That is why the only company we would even consider to offer our company to was and is Tippmann.

Tippmann has the same values and commitment as well as the
integrity, credibility and passion to be the very best at what they do.
Tippmann will be able to take NXe to new heights, which was also
very important to us. From that regard we could not be happier.

As a company we are officially launching our new NXE consumer
electronics line at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las
Vegas in January. We are extremely confident that this direction is a
very positive step for our company and for all of our employees. We
hope all of our paintball related consumers who have supported NXE will continue to support us and also find our new consumer
electronics products as cutting edge, innovative, and of course the best of the best in quality.

We will work closely with the Tippmann team to ensure a smooth transition so all of the Tippmann and NXe customers who are accustomed to the best service and support in the business will continue to receive that commitment. In closing let me say we would like THANK the entire paintball community for all of the support, friendship, and dedication – not only to NXe, but to the sport and game we all love and are passionate about. I would also like to thank our customers and consumers, who have supported us over the years, and moving forward, will keep NXe as the top soft goods brand in the industry. We have made friendships that will last long past the last ball being shot, and that is a testament to this industry, and sport, and the people who are a part of it. As you know we have sponsored hundreds and hundreds of teams over the years from all over the world. We would also like to thank a few of these teams who became part of our family and was with us from the beginning.

Avalanche, Joy Division, Impact, Aftermath, Strange, Rage and of
course our Dynasty boys.

Thank You,
The NXE family.”
